Osseointegration and Success in Hip Arthroplasty Acetabular Revision Using Structured Homologous Graft: Average 9.6 Years Follow-up.

 To evaluate the clinical and radiographic results and survival of the acetabular revision surgery of total hip arthroplasty with cemented implant without the use of reinforcement ring, associated with structural homologous bone grafting.  A total of 40 patients (44 hips) operated from 1995 to 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Radiographs were evaluated according to the classification of the acetabular bone defect, graft shape, and the presence of osseointegration.

Open versus arthroscopic approach in the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement: a case-control study with two-years follow up.

Objective: To compare clinical and imaging results and complications between patients treated for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) who underwent either anterior open surgery or an arthroscopic approach, with a minimum follow-up of two years.

Methods: This retrospective case-control study included patients submitted to FAI surgical treatment between November 2007 and March 2012. Patients treated with open surgery were compared with those treated with arthroscopy.
