[The evolutionary principles of inguinal hernioplasty through our personal experience].

Inguinal hernia is a multi-factorial pathologic condition. A constitutional weakness of transversalis fascia, probably genetically transmitted, represents a fundamental cause. Hernioplasty has evolved year by year from the "Bassini" to the "tension-free" techniques with Marlex or Prolene prosthesis, on the rational base of no tension on constitutionally weak structures.

[Combined outpatient surgical-cryotherapeutic treatment of anal fissures. Our experience].

The authors describe their technique and their experience of ambulatory surgical-cryotherapeutic combined, treatment of anal fissure. The data were observed in 35 patients (medium age 37.5); in 16 cases, previous treatments gave no benefit.

[Brucellosis with osteo-muscular localization. A case report of a not rare pathological condition].

Brucellosis may show itself only through its bone and muscle complications, especially in the lumbar region, such as vertebral colliquation or psoas abscess. The authors describe a case of brucellosis (56 year old male, butcher) with lumbar bone and muscle involvement. The first symptom was a persistent pain of the right lumbar region, with irradiation to the homolateral leg.

[The post-cholecystectomy syndrome. Evaluation of symptomatology using Tc-99m-HIDA sequential hepatic scintigraphy (cholescintigraphy)].

The authors comment the data from research on 70 patients with post cholecystectomy syndrome, using cholescintigraphy HIDA 99mTc to evaluate the relation ship between symptomatology (see classific.) and duodenogastric reflux entity. Cholescintigraphy seems to be a valid clinical means, especially for a correct indication to endoscopy.

[Chronic anemia due to Meckel's diverticulum. The diagnostic and therapeutic considerations].

Meckel's diverticulum is a frequent embryologic residual organ. The importance of considering this diagnosis in the young adult presenting chronic hypochromic [correction of hyperchromic] anemia, despite the difficulties of the same, is emphasized. The condition to be satisfied is the complete excision of Meckel's diverticulum, to avoid leaving ectopic mucosa residuals, so we think it useful to resect an ileal sleeve.
