This dataset quantifies storm intensity of approximately 130 unique historical storms along the New Jersey coastline from 1980 to 2014 for three separate sea level conditions. Namely, (1) as observed in the historical record; (2) detrended to 1997 mean sea level and (3) adjusted to the 2050 and 2100 sea level rise scenarios presented in the International Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report (AR6). Projected sea level scenarios are adjusted to include local vertical land movement.

The current study aims to assess the repeatability, and intra- and inter-observer reliability of transvaginal non-compressive cervical strain elastography in a clinical setting.
Methods: We conducted a dual-phase single-center prospective feasibility study of singleton gestations >16-weeks gestation that required a clinically-indicated transvaginal ultrasound.
Accessory hepatic lobes are rare anatomic variants connected to the liver by a fibrous stalk or parenchymal attachments. They are usually detected incidentally, but torsion is a rare complication. Here, we report torsion of an accessory hepatic lobe occurring in utero with a focus on the MRI findings.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Up to 30% of patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy continue to have elevated blood pressures after delivery, often necessitating medication titration or hospital evaluation in the weeks following hospital discharge. A previous randomized controlled trial demonstrated that remote blood pressure monitoring programs led to an increase in the number of blood pressure measurements obtained and increased compliance with clinical guidelines regarding the monitoring of patients for persistent or worsening postpartum hypertension.
Objective: The aims of this study were to measure the program participant response rates during the first 10 days after hospital discharge, to assess the replicability and scalability of the program, and to evaluate patient satisfaction at 3 distinct sites.

Background: Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk across the lifespan. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Heart Association emphasize the postpartum period as an important opportunity to identify and intervene women at high risk of future cardiovascular disease.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the proportion of women with documented counseling on risks and transitions of care after hypertensive disorders of pregnancy at the postpartum visit.
Objectives: A clinical trial showed postpartum text-based blood pressure (BP) monitoring is effective in meeting clinical guidelines and reduces racial disparities in postpartum hypertension care. Our objective was to compare clinical outcomes to those from a clinical trial after implementation of the program in a second hospital within our hospital system.
Study Design: Comparison of women randomized to text-based BP monitoring in a clinical trial compared to an implementation cohort clinically enrolled in text-based BP monitoring.
Palliative care (PC) teams are increasingly being called upon to provide care earlier and more remote from end of life. Because much of the field has grown out of hospice and geriatric care, most teams have little to no experience caring for pregnant women or their fetuses when serious or life-threatening illness strikes. This article, written by a team of oncologists (gynecologic, medical, and radiation) and PC providers, seeks to demystify the care of seriously ill pregnant women and their fetuses by exploring the diagnostic, treatment, prognostication, symptom management, and communication needs of these patients.

To investigate the role of Vcl in myocyte and myocardial function, cardiomyocyte-specific Vcl knockout mice (cVclKO) and littermate control wild-type mice were studied with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tagging before the onset of global ventricular dysfunction. MRI revealed significantly decreased systolic strains transverse to the myofiber axis in vivo, but no changes along the muscle fibers or in fiber tension in papillary muscles from heterozygous global Vcl null mice.
