Introduction/background: This study estimates the percentage of detectable breast cancers in the screening population that could be found with primary and supplemental screening, and provides cost estimates for population wide supplemental screening in the U.S.
Materials And Methods: Published estimates on cancer detection rates of 2D mammography, tomosynthesis (DBT), whole breast ultrasound (US), molecular breast imaging (MBI), contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), and MRI, the number of mammograms conducted in the United States in 2023, and the proportion of dense breast tissue, were utilized.
Although guidelines for the use of Lu-PSMA-617 published by various organizations are important, they do not include all the essential, practical points necessary for a complete institutional protocol. Therefore, a brief survey was performed to assess key components of the Lu-PSMA-617 protocol before, during, and after delivery of therapy. This survey demonstrated the wide variability in many aspects of institutional protocols regarding determination of eligibility for and administration of Lu-PSMA-617 therapy.

However, best uses of CEM in comparison with other breast imaging modalities such as tomosynthesis, ultrasound, and MRI remain inconclusive in many clinical settings. This review article summarizes recent peer-reviewed literature, emphasizing retrospective reviews, prospective clinical trials, and meta-analyses published from 2020 to 2023.

FES has undergone extensive clinicopathologic validation for ER-positive breast cancer and in 2020 received FDA approval for clinical use as an adjunct to biopsy in patients with recurrent or metastatic ER-positive breast cancer. Clinical use of FES PET/CT is increasing but is not widespread in the United States.

Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is commonly ER positive. The primary aim of this study was to assess the frequency with which sites of histologically proven ILC have abnormal uptake on FES PET/CT.

The goal of this 6-part series of review articles is to provide practical information to providers and imaging professionals regarding the best use of PET-CT for the more common adult malignancies. In the first article of this series, hematologic malignancies are addressed.

This series of six review articles focuses on providing practical information to providers and imaging professionals regarding the best use and interpretative strategies of PET-CT for oncologic indications in adult patients. In this fourth article of the series, the more common gynecological and adult genitourinary malignancies encountered in clinical practice are addressed, with an emphasis on Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved and clinically available radiopharmaceuticals.

PSMA is, therefore, an attractive target for drug development. Over the last decade, numerous PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapy have been developed and investigated in theranostic combination.

Methods: Benefit-to-risk ratios were calculated as the ratio of breast cancer deaths averted and lives lost to screening over 10-year intervals starting at age 40 for mammography and tomosynthesis using previously published methodology. The MGD values at which estimated benefit equals risk were tabulated.
Purpose: To assess the impact of adjunctive ultrasound guided diffuse optical tomography (US-guided DOT) on BI-RADS assessment in women undergoing US-guided breast biopsy.
Method: This prospective study enrolled women referred for US-guided breast biopsy between 3/5/2019 and 3/19/2020. Participants underwent US-guided DOT immediately before biopsy.

Understanding the pathogenesis and molecular biology of malignant lymphomas is challenging, given the complex nature and incongruity of these disorders. The classification of lymphoma is continually evolving to account for advances in clinical, pathological, molecular biology and cytogenetic aspects, which impact our understanding of these disorders. The latest fourth edition of the WHO classification of lymphoid malignancies was released in 2016 to account for these changes.

Semi-quantitative analyses (SUVmax, SUVmean) were derived from FDG PET images in 78 patients with suspected recurrence of primary brain tumors based on MRI. SUVmax and the ratio of lesion SUVmax to the SUVmean of contralateral white matter (SUVmax/WM) were measured.
