Background: Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (PLCH) is a rare interstitial lung disease primarily affecting young to middle-aged smokers. While traditionally linked to tobacco use, there is growing evidence that cannabis use may contribute to PLCH.
Methods: We present a case of a 52-year-old male with PLCH associated with heavy cannabis use.
We report a case of severe, life-threatening lithium toxicity in a patient with bipolar I disorder who presented with altered mental status and acute renal failure. At admission, serum lithium level was well above toxic levels (>2 mEq/L). The signs and symptoms of lithium toxicity significantly improved after treatment with continuous veno-venous haemodialysis (CVVHD).
