Heavy Metals Pollution and Potential Health Risks: The Case of the Koche River, Tatek Industrial Zone, Burayu, Ethiopia.

This study aimed to determine the levels of some heavy metals in the Koche River and the potential health risks. A replica of water samples was taken from 12 sampling sites purposely selected in the dry season. Heavy metal levels were determined using a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer following the APHA (1998) procedure.

This study aimed to assess mound abundance, the livelihood impacts of termites, and determinant factors in the Meta Robi District, Ethiopia. A descriptive research design was used for primary data collection from the three selected kebeles. Termite nests were counted from each Goxi (the sub-kebele and the smallest unit in Ethiopia) using a transect line.

River Pollution by Heavy Metals and Associated Impacts on the Adjacent Community, the Case of Holeta and Golli Rivers, Holeta Town, Ethiopia.

This study aimed to determine the level of heavy metals in the Holeta and Golli rivers and their impacts on the community of Holeta town, Ethiopia. Water samples were collected from eight randomly selected locations (4 sites from each river). A questionnaire survey, FGD, and KII were also used.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of blending ratio of malted barley, maize, and roasted pea flour on complementary food quality and sensory acceptability. D- Optimal mixture design was used to generate 14 formulations. Each ingredient had 55-90% maize, 20-35% pea and 4-12% malted barley.
