has been of interest to scientists and clinicians for many years, often causing diagnostic difficulties, especially in the youngest age group, in children. The presence of this bacterium in the population depends on the geographic region. However, it is assumed that even half of the world's population may be infected with .

The physicochemical attributes, including the specific surface area, were analyzed employing the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. The basicity and acidity levels of the catalytic systems were evaluated through temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia and carbon dioxide (TPD-NH, TPD-CO), respectively.

In this study, natural aggregate was wholly replaced with waste sand or with wastes from the production of ceramic products and ceramic hollow bricks. The amounts of individual fractions used were determined in accordance with guidelines for reference concrete.

Waste fibers were used as samples and obtained using an end-of-life car tire recycling process. For comparison, samples with the addition of steel and polypropylene microfibers were tested.

The activity tests were carried out at a temperature of 750 °C. The research showed that the catalyst prepared from the precursor containing chloride exhibited very low conversions of methane and carbon dioxide.

Activity studies of the mixed methane reforming process were carried out on (Ru)-Ni/CeO-AlO catalysts at the temperature of 650-750 °C. The ruthenium-promoted catalyst exhibited the highest activity.

Among different types of fibers employed in concrete technology to date, the application of recycled steel fibers produced from end-of-life car tires appears to be a viable approach towards environmentally friendly construction. In this study, we demonstrate the laboratory research and numerical analysis of concrete reinforced with waste steel fibers recovered during the recycling process of end-of-life car tires.

Probiotics seem to have promising effects in the prevention and treatment of allergic conditions including atopic dermatitis (AD) and food allergy. The purpose of this multicenter randomized placebo-controlled trial was to evaluate the effectiveness of a probiotic preparation comprising ŁOCK 0900, ŁOCK 0908, and ŁOCK 0918 in children under 2 years of age with AD and a cow's milk protein (CMP) allergy. The study enrolled 151 children, who-apart from being treated with a CMP elimination diet-were randomized to receive the probiotic preparation at a daily dose of 10 bacteria or a placebo for three months, with a subsequent nine-month follow-up.

The primary infection in immunocompetent patients may be asymptomatic, whereas fever, shortness of breath, night sweats, nonproductive (dry) cough, pneumonia, progressive respiratory distress and apnea are cardinal symptoms of full-blown pneumocystis pneumonia. The diagnosis can be confirmed by histochemical staining of biological specimens or, recently, by polymerase chain reaction.

The article describes the selected methods of calculating the deflection of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams. Additionally, the results of the study on the deflection of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams based on waste sand are presented. This paper compares deflections measured during the four point bending test of the steel fiber reinforced, waste sand fine aggregate concrete beam with values determined in accordance with Eurocode 2, the proposal of Tan, Paramasivam, and Tan, the modified method of Alsayed, Bywalski, and Kaminski, and Amin, Foster, and Kaufmann's method.
