Background: There is little international data on morbidity and mortality of surgery for perforated peptic ulcer (PPU). This study aimed to understand the global 30-day morbidity and mortality of patients undergoing surgery for PPU and to identify variables associated with these.
Method: We performed an international study of adults (≥ 18 years) who underwent surgery for PPU from 1st January 2022 to 30th June 2022.
Objective: The article provides the study results, the purpose of which was to check whether there is a relationship between the type of reconstructive surgery and the quality of life of patients. The results of reconstructive surgeries in 90 patients diagnosed with stomach cancer who underwent gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy were analysed.
Methods: All patients were randomised into three groups, depending on the method of gastrointestinal tract reconstruction.
