The COVID-19 Pandemic increased the prevalence and severity of insomnia and depression symptoms. The effects of an insomnia intervention on future insomnia and depression symptoms delivered during an ongoing stressor, which may have precipitated the insomnia symptoms, is unknown. We conducted a two-arm randomized controlled pilot study to evaluate whether an insomnia intervention would improve the trajectory of insomnia and depression symptoms in the context of a global pandemic.

In this study we aimed to determine the impact of a DNA-personalised nutrition intervention in people with non-diabetic hyperglycaemia over 26 weeks. ASPIRE-DNA was a pilot study.

This study aimed to examine the effect of lemon essential oil inhalation on healthy participants' alertness level and their neural correlates using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Twenty-one healthy men underwent functional MRI scans in different conditions: a resting state condition, a condition where they were exposed to passive lemon smelling (alternating exposure to lemon and breathing fresh air), and a control condition without lemon fragrance diffusion -the order of the last two conditions being randomized.

Objective: To determine whether hydrocortisone improves outcome for patients with severe COVID-19.
Design, Setting, And Participants: An ongoing adaptive platform trial testing multiple interventions within multiple therapeutic domains, for example, antiviral agents, corticosteroids, or immunoglobulin.
This paper gives an overview of how CMOS design methods can be applied to ion-sensitive field effect transistor (ISFETs) for pH-based DNA methylation and miRNA detection. Design specifications are fundamentally defined by the choice of analysis. As such, the focus for DNA methylation was on developing front-end analogue circuits to carry out Methylation-specific PCR (MSP) for Point-of-Care applications, and sequencing for detailed analysis.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the effects of a hyperproteic, hypercaloric oral nutritional supplement with prebiotic fiber, vitamin D, and calcium, plus a standardized physical intervention, in the functional status, strength, nutritional status, and quality of life of frail institutionalized older adults.
Design: Multicentric prospective observational study under usual clinical practice conditions.
Setting: Four nursing homes from Burgos (2), Albacete, and Madrid, Spain.
We present single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) studies using 123IFP-CIT (DAT scan) and 123I-IBZM imaging, performed on four members of a family with genetically proven spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA-3). DAT scan showed significant asymmetric decreased binding in the striatum in the two members with predominant parkinsonian phenotype, with mild and symmetric decreased binding in the member with the cerebellar phenotype, and normal in the asymptomatic member. The IBZM SPECT studies showed mild and asymmetrical reduction of the striatal dopamine D2 receptor density (parkinsonian members).
