A new species of Galene de Haan, 1833 (Galenidae: Brachyura) from the middle Miocene of Zagros Mountains, Iran.

A new species of Galene de Haan, 1833 (Decapoda: Brachyura: Galenidae) is described from the Mid Miocene (Langhian) strata of the Mishan Formation exposed at two localities in Hormozgan Province, Zagros Mountains, Iran. The galenid species, Galene dashtbani n. sp.
