Human papillomavirus-related multiphenotypic sinonasal carcinoma: A report of two patients and review of the literature.

Human papillomavirus (HPV)-related multiphenotypic sinonasal carcinoma (HMSC) is a recently described sinonasal tract tumor that is associated with high-risk HPV subtype infection. Despite histological features that are suggestive of a high-grade malignant tumor, the prognosis of HMSC is relatively good; however, the clinical features of this tumor are poorly understood. Here, we describe two patients with HMSC.

Baseline and 6 month follow-up echocardiography were performed to assess MR, LA, and LV sizes.

We search for a light Higgs boson (A^{0}) decaying into a τ^{+}τ^{-} or μ^{+}μ^{-} pair in the radiative decays of ϒ(1S). Introduction: Postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) is one of the major critical complications after pancreatic resection. Automated non-invasive identification of pelvic autonomic nerves with a handheld Raman spectrometer and potential application to nerve-sparing colorectal surgery: a preliminary study in surgical specimens.

Background: Although minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer, whether performed as standard laparoscopic or robotic surgery, has been established as an oncologically safe procedure, postoperative urinary dysfunction and sexual dysfunction remain matters of concern, even when so-called nerve-sparing surgery is performed. We have hypothesized that Raman spectroscopy can be used intraoperatively as a non-invasive label-free means of objective identification of the pelvic nerves, and we conducted a preliminary study by applying a newly developed handheld Raman spectrometer to surgical specimens.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) contributes to a significant portion of the injuries resulting from motor vehicle crashes, falls, and sports collisions. The development of advanced countermeasures to mitigate these injuries requires a complete understanding of the tolerance of the human brain to injury. In this study, we developed a new method to establish human injury tolerance levels using an integrated database of reconstructed football impacts, subinjurious human volunteer data, and nonhuman primate data.
