Recently about 90% of radiographs have been taken by the digital radiographic system in Japan, but the exposure dose of the patients are about ten-times different among the systems. We understood it by a surveytaken in 2007. We studied the visual evaluation with varying exposure doses using the image phantom of the lumber AP, lumber lateral and hip AP.

Materials And Methods: 390 patients with 396 pulmonary nodules underwent transthoracic CT-guided aspiration biopsy (TNAB) and transthoracic CT-guided cutting needle core biopsy (TCNB) as follows: 250 solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) underwent conventional CT-guided biopsy (conventional method), 81 underwent CT-fluoroscopic biopsy (CT-fluoroscopic method) and 65 underwent conventional CT-guided biopsy in combination with MPR image (MPR method). Success rate, overall diagnostic accuracy, pneumothorax rate and total procedure time were compared in each method.
Purpose: Information concerning the amount and nature of target motion is essential for the determination of internal margin size. However, there are few published reports outlining the motion with heart and aortic pulsation. We introduce a method for three-dimensional radiation treatment planning (3D-RTP) by using electrocardiographically (ECG) gated spiral scanning with a four-section CT system.
