A 69-year-old woman was referred to our department for refractory cystitis. Incomplete emptying of the bladder was observed, and symptoms did not improve after medication. Clean intermittent catheterization was initiated.

We have no linguistic validated questionnaire in Japanese to assess it. Therefore we have translated 'prolapse quality of life questionnaire (P-QOL)' into Japanese and present it to the thirty POP patients at our institute for evaluating mental and physical condition before and three months after the operation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: The objectives of this clinical study is to demonstrate our experience of the abdominal approach (from the abdominal wall to the vagina) for the tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) operation and to identify factors responsible for complications relating to the puncture.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and fifty-one cases of patients with stress incontinence who underwent the tension-free vaginal tape operation were analyzed. Among them, 75 cases underwent the TVT procedure with the vaginal approach (from the vagina to the abdominal wall) and the remaining 76 cases underwent the TVT procedure with the abdominal approach (from the abdominal wall to the vagina).
We report a case of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) of the kidney. A 50-year-old man was referred to our hospital because of left back pain. Computed tomographic scan and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a huge left retroperitoneal tumor (30 x 13 x 11 cm), which consisted of a solid tumor with calcification surrounding the cystic component.

Cystoscopy revealed a bladder tumor, which was determined by biopsy to be mucin-producing adenocarcinoma.
