Symptomatic hyponatremia due to bowel preparation is extremely rare, but it can cause severe neurological symptoms and require hospitalization. We report our experience with two cases of symptomatic hyponatremia after bowel preparation. Our findings suggest that the cause of hyponatremia may be not only oral bowel cleansing agents but also high fluid intake.
