Despite enormous advancements in its management, cancer is the world's primary cause of mortality. Therefore, tremendous strides were made to produce intelligent theranostics with mitigated side effects and improved specificity and efficiency. Thus, we developed a pH-sensitive theranostic platform composed of dextran immobilized zinc oxide nanoparticles, loaded with doxorubicin and radiolabeled with the technetium-99m radionuclide (Tc-labelled DOX-loaded ZnO@dextran).

Natural killer (NK) cells are innate immune cells with cytotoxic potentials to kill cancerous cells in several mechanisms, which could be implied for cancer therapy. While potent, their antitumor activities specially for solid tumors impaired by inadequate tumor infiltration, suppressive tumor microenvironment, cancer-associated stroma cells, and tumor-supportive immune cells. Therefore, manipulating or reprogramming these barriers by prospective strategies might improve current immunotherapies in the clinic or introduce novel NK-based immunotherapies.

Introduction: This paper sought to scrutinize the role of microRNA-32 (miR-32) on the growth and migration as well as on the expression of metastatic genes in PC3 cells of prostate cancer in vitro.

Methods: Subsequent transfection of cells with miR-32 mimics, miR-32 inhibitor, negative control (NC), cell proliferation using MTT, and apoptosis by ELISA were performed. Furthermore, qRT-PCR was directed to measure the expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP2) and vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF) as metastatic and angiogenesis genes in the progression of PC3.

Purpose: Zearalenone (ZEN) which is one of the known fusarium species mycotoxin, produced primarily on many cereal crops. Consequently, the current study aims to estimate the possibility of labeling zearalenone and the pattern of accumulation of the produced labeled zearalenone [I]-ZEN in different mice tissues, and the possible protective effect of to reduce organ accumulation of Zearalenone.

Materials And Methods: the experiment was conducted on two groups of mice were used; the two groups received [I] Zearalenone administered by tail vein injection, the first group receive nothing else while the second group received also (as a control agent) orally.

Allantoin increases in different stress conditions and environment such as physical activity, amniotic fluids and oxidative stress. So, we inspired to explore the role of allantoin as a metabolic by-product in health improvement and protection using irradiation as simulator for oxidative stress. Allantoin was injected i.

Selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) have become one of the most prospective and promising tools in the course of cancer diagnosis and therapy. Here we describe the synthesis of a novel radioactive platform for tumor imaging using selenium nanoparticles. SeNPs were synthetized using dithionite and glutathione as reducing and capping agent respectively with 5 mmol/L sodium selenite as a precursor and then SeNPs radiolabeled with technetium-99 m, the most common and famous radioactive isotope used for imaging purposes.

Nizatidine has been labeled using [ I] with chloramine-T as oxidizing agent. Factors such as the amount of oxidizing agent, amount of substrate, pH, reaction temperature, and reaction time have been systematically studied to optimize the iodination. Biodistribution studies indicate the suitability of radioiodinated nizatidine as a novel tracer to image stomach ulcer.

The goal of the study aims to evaluate newly radioiodinated candesartan (CAN) as a potential cardiovascular tracer. CAN was labeled using I with chloramine-T (Ch-T) and N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) with full characterization of cold Iodo-candesartan. Factors such as pH, reaction temperature, reaction time, substrate, and oxidizing agent amounts were studied to optimize the radioiodination of CAN.

Lung imaging radiopharmaceuticals are helpful agents for measuring pulmonary blood flow and allow detection of pulmonary embolism and lung cancer. The goal of this study was to develop a novel potential radiopharmaceutical for lung imaging. Zolmitriptan (a selective serotonin receptor agonist) was successfully labeled with Tc via direct labeling method under reductive conditions studying different factors affecting the labeling efficiency.
