Two clinical cases of perforation of a previously undiagnosed colon diverticulum in patients with coronavirus infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus treated at the Hospital №1 of Nalchik. Both patients were elderly, overweight, had a lot of chronic concomitant diseases. Patients received hormone therapy and were targeted: the first patient twice (tocilizumab on the first day of hospitalization and olokizumab on the 7th day of inpatient treatment).

The aim of the investigation was to study the implication of infectious endotoxicosis in the pathogenesis of erysipelas, by measuring the level of malondialdehyde and the proinflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a) depending on the stage, severity, pattern of the disease, and possible complications. Fifty-six patients with erysipelas were followed up. Their blood level of malondialdehyde and TNF-a was determined at the height of the disease and during the reduction of clinical symptoms, and early convalescence.

To study the endogenous intoxication syndrome in patients with food toxic infections is essential in revealing the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying this disease. For this, the authors measured the level of low and average molecular weight, as well as their protein component--oligopeptides in plasma, red blood cells, and urine in the course of the disease. There were increased levels of the study parameters, which depended on the stage and degree of a pathological process.

In 41 patients aged 24-63 years with acute Flexner's dysentery T-lymphocyte subpopulations CD-3, CD-4, CD-8, IRI and the content of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) in the blood serum were detected. The suppression of T-cell mediated immunity on account of the presence of CD-4 with decreased immunoregulatory index and an increased content of TNF-alpha were established. Changes in T-cell mediated immunity and TNF-alpha depended on the period and the severity of the diseases.

The content of malonic dialdehyde and of ceruloplasmin in blood plasma was studied, as an indicator of the prooxidant-antioxidant system, in 84 patients, aged 21 to 63, with alimentary toxicoinfection. A higher level of malonic dialdehyde and a lower level of ceruloplasmin were detected, which depended on a disease stage and on a severity of the clinical course and pathologic progression.
