- The study investigates if repeated doses of a GnRH agonist can improve IVF/ICSI results for PCOS patients at risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
- Seventy women were randomly assigned to receive either a single dose or a second dose of the GnRH agonist for final oocyte maturation.
- Results showed no significant differences in oocyte quantity or quality between the two groups, but the second dose group had a notably lower rate of mild to moderate OHSS.
Objective: To investigate the effect of L-carnitine supplementation during the controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) cycle with antagonist protocol in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment.
Methods And Materials: This was a double-blind clinical trial study including 110 patients with PCOS attended to Royan Institute between March 2020 and February 2023. At the beginning of the COS cycle, the eligible patients were allocated into two groups randomly according to the coding list of the drugs prepared by the statistical consultant.
