Methods: Among 4,971 individuals aged ≥20 years, the associations of the difference between 2 h-PG and FPG with outcomes were examined using multivariable-adjusted Cox regression analysis. Participants were categorized into three groups: a low post-load group (2 h-PG ≤ FPG, as the reference group); a high post-load group (2 h-PG > FPG and ≥75th percentile of the difference); and a medium post-load group (2 h-PG > FPG and <75th percentile of the difference), which was further categorized into three groups by equal ranges.
Background: The association between baseline triglyceride glucose index (TyG index) and incident non-communicable diseases, mainly in Asian populations, has been reported. In the current study, we aimed to evaluate the association between index-year, average, and visit-to-visit variability (VVV) of the TyG index with incident type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and all-cause mortality among the Iranian population.

Background: Understanding pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of the sustained-release liothyronine (SR-T3) is of paramount importance to design therapeutic regimens that are able to simulate normal thyroid hormone secretion while avoiding excursions in the T3 serum concentration. Background: To determine the association between triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (TG/HDL-C) for identifying subjects at risk of incident prediabetes and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Methods: In 5064 subjects (men = 2247) aged ≥ 20 years, using Cox proportional hazards regression analyses, the associations of TG/HDL-C with incident prediabetes and T2DM were examined among normoglycemic men and women. Furthermore, the association of this lipid ratio with incident T2DM was also assessed among prediabetic subjects (n = 1414).
The synthesis of biocompatible nanoporous zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) was performed in the presence of gum arabic (GA), curcumin (CCM), and folic acid (FA) as a template for the biomineralization process, a natural anticancer component, and a targeting agent, respectively. Fasting levels of total cholesterol (TC), TAG, HDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol, and related indices (TC/HDL-cholesterol and TAG/HDL-cholesterol) were determined in 7335 Iranian adults (men = 3270) free of hypertension, aged 39·0 (sd 13·2) years.
