Background: Organ ischemia-reperfusion (IR) is a common clinical condition associated with various situations such as trauma surgery, organ transplantation, and myocardial ischemia. Current therapeutic methods for IR injury have limitations, and nanotechnology, particularly zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), offers new approaches for disease diagnosis and treatment. In this study, we investigated the protective and anti-apoptotic effects of ZnO NPs in liver ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury in rats.

Objectives: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common metabolic disorder that causes many complications. Liver failure is one of the complications of T2DM. Oxidative stress plays a major role in the development and progression of T2DM-induced liver injury.

Free radical-induced neural damage is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases and antioxidants have protective activity. In the present study, we examined the effect of gallic acid (GA; 50, 100 and 200mg/kg, p.o.

The aim of this study was evaluation the effect of Gallic acid on movement disorders and pallidal electrical power in animal model of Parkinson's Disease (PD). PD is clinically characterized by development of motor disturbances, such as bradykinesia, resting tremors, rigidity and a later loss ofpostural reflexes. Oxidative stress is a hallmark factor where the oxidation of dopamine generates Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and an unbalanced production ROS induces neuronal damage, therefor leading the neuronal death.
