A two-dimensional CFD model based on volume-of-fluid (VOF) is introduced to examine droplet generation in a cross-junction microfluidic using an open-source software, together with an solver. Using ME-AM for core-shell manufacturing offers improved mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy over conventional 3D-printed polymer.
