Beauty salons are establishments that provide hair, face, and body treatments for consumers. In this research, type of bacteriological pollution and the associated bacteriological human health risks were evaluated using Monte Carlo Simulation. A cross-sectional study design was carried out in 50 randomly selected beauty salons in Ardabil, during April-June, 2022.

Methods: The present review analyzed studies published between 2013 and 2023 to obtain information about different cell cultures used in cancer studies involving helminths.
Background: Metabolic plasticity gives cancer cells the ability to shift between signaling pathways to facilitate their growth and survival. This study investigates the role of glucose deprivation in the presence and absence of beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in growth, death, oxidative stress and the stemness features of lung cancer cells.
Methods And Results: A549 cells were exposed to various glucose conditions, both with and without beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), to evaluate their effects on apoptosis, mitochondrial membrane potential, reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels using flow cytometry, and the expression of CD133, CD44, SOX-9, and β-Catenin through Quantitative PCR.
Background: Uncovering the roles and characteristics of pathogenesis-related molecules can help us develop novel management methods in parasitology. In this study, we studied the expression levels of heat shock protein70 (HSP70) () and astacin () as pathogenesis-related genes as well as the expression of HSP70 and HSP17.1 (, ) in the larvae and adult stages of .

Cur@AuNPs synthesized through a simple one-pot green chemistry technique. The in vitro leishmanicidal activity of curcumin-coated gold nanoparticles against extracellular promastigotes and intracellular amastigotes of protozoan parasite Leishmania major (L.

Despite the remarkable advancements in the treatment of CL, the available therapeutics are far from ideal and also cause serious adverse side effects. Negative air ions (NAIs) generators are widely available for domestic and industrial uses.

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of PDT by using TBO and a light-emitting diode (LED) in the treatment of zoonotic CL (ZCL).
Methods: The study was conducted in Iran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran in 2018-2020.
Demyelination disorder is an unusual pathologic event, which occurs in the central nervous system (CNS). Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory demyelinating disease that affects the CNS, and it is the leading cause of disability in young adults. Lysolecithin (LPC) is one of the best toxin-induced demyelination models.

Various medications are used for treating the disease, but several side effects and drug resistance have been reported. Herbal medicines are unlimited sources for discovering new medications to treat infectious diseases.

Methods: A total of 84 NMRI mice were used in this study. The effect of the extract on acute inflammation was analyzed by increasing vascular permeability via acetic acid and xylene induced ear edema among mice.
In this study, a chitosan nanoparticle formulation was synthesized for loading silibinin as a sustained-release drug system to evaluate its effects on apoptosis in C6 glioma cells. This synthesized nanoparticle was analyzed by measurement methods including Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The formation and amorphization of nanoparticle were confirmed by FTIR and XRD analysis, respectively.
