Dramatic metabolic changes during pregnancy and post-partum period resulted in alteration of the biochemical parameters in dromedary she-camels. The current study focused on assessment of stress indicators in post-partum dromedary she-camels on days 14, 28 and 42 post-calving through monitoring the clinical findings, serum steroid hormones, serum or milk oxidant/antioxidant indicators, and milk somatic cell count (SCC) status with reference to serum lipid profile changes. The study also stated several correlations between reproductive cyclicity parameters, stress biomarkers and serum-milk oxidant/antioxidant indicators.

The parasitological examination of these samples revealed infection by six zoonotic and four non-zoonotic parasites in varying percentages. The zoonotic parasites included Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus granulosus, Cryptosporidium species, and Giardia cysts and trophozoites.

Aim: The present work aimed to monitor antimicrobial residues in brown table eggs, whether conventional or organic type, in Aswan governorate markets and assessed their physical and chemical quality and their public health hazards.
Methods: Brown table egg samples ( = 400 total) were randomly selected in the present study, in which they represented two equal groups ( = 200 each) including conventional eggs and organic eggs.

Curcumin-olive oil nanocomposite (CO-NC), a novel formulation of nano-curcumin, was produced and characterized. By evaluating the death rate and DNA damage inflicted on adult Trichinella spiralis (T. spiralis) worms using the comet test and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, the effectiveness of the substance against these worms was assessed in vitro.

Aims: The aim was to determine the frequency of MetS among BD patients and to study its relationship with disease characteristics.
The Muslim community is a vibrant part of New Zealand society. As this community grows, researchers will need to strengthen engagement and collaboration to tailor the delivery of services. Given the paucity of the literature, this conceptual paper drawing on a study on health and Ramadan presents an exemplar for doing research with Muslim communities.

This study evaluated the suitability of HC protoscolices somatic antigens (HCPsS-Ag) fractions from animal origin to substitute that extracted from HC of patients in diagnosis of hydatidosis using enzyme-linked immunoelectro-transfer blot and Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Eight fractions in HC-G6 from patients react specifically versus HC-G6 infected patient's sera.

Methods: In the first experiment, ejaculates (n = 30) were collected from 5 adult rams and were pooled, diluted (1:10) with Tris-citric acid (base diluent) and were split into 4 aliquots assigned for: control (untreated), caffeine (0.1 mM), melatonin (0.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most common pathogenic gram-negative bacteria causing corneal ulcers globally. In severe cases, often after trauma and eye injury, corneal destruction progresses rapidly and may be completed within 24-48 h causing blindness. In our preliminary work, we have established an ultrasensitive polyaniline (PANI)/gold nanoparticles (Au NPs)/indium tin oxide (ITO) modified sensor for rapid detection of pyocyanin (PYO) in P.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is implicated in a wide range of human infections that mostly become complicated and life threating, especially in immunocompromised and critically ill patients. Conventional microbiological methods take more than three days to obtain accurate results.

This investigation aimed to determine the influence of using different techniques for liquefaction of semen on post-thaw physical and dynamic characteristics of camel spermatozoa. A total of 144 ejaculates were collected from 3 adult camels, Camelus dromedarius, twice-weekly over 3 consecutive breeding seasons. A raw aliquot of each ejaculate was evaluated for physical and morphological properties, whereas the remaining portion was diluted (1:3) with glycerolated Tris lactose egg yolk extender, and was further subjected to one of the following liquefaction treatments: control (untreated), 5μl/ml α-amylase, 0.
