We studied the nature of the action of course treatment with argon and helium (1 min, 3 procedures) on the oxidative metabolism in rat blood plasma. The study was performed on 30 Wistar rats divided into 3 groups (n=10 in each group): intact and 2 experimental (treatment of the skin of the back with a stream of argon and helium, respectively). After completion of the treatment course, the intensity of free radical processes, the total antioxidant activity, and malondialdehyde concentration were evaluated in the blood plasma.

It is shown that the formation of NO and NO noticeably depends on the type of inert gas; the more complex electronic configuration and the lower ionization potential of the inert gas led to increased production of NO and NO. The formation of ozone occurs mainly due to the photolytic reaction outside the gas discharge zone.

For the successful formation of plasma medicine, it is necessary to solve a large complex of problems, including creating equipment for generating cold plasma, revealing the biological effects of this effect, as well as identifying and justifying the most promising areas of its application. It is known that these biological effects include antibacterial and antiviral activity, the ability to stimulate hemocoagulation, pro-regenerative properties, etc.

The intensity of free radical processes, the total antioxidant activity, and malondialdehyde concentration in rat plasma were evaluated. It was found that 2-min exposure to argon cold plasma and nonionized argon stream produce a prooxidant effect, while 1-min exposure argon plasma led to stimulation of the antioxidant reserves of the blood.

Although it has been stated that there is a need to provide a full biological understanding of features, including those that increase an animal's vulnerability to diseases, unfortunately, in this regard, erectile and associated adaptations to the Earth's gravity in their physiological and pathological manifestations have not been considered. At the same time, it should be noted that humans, unlike other animal species, have the greatest vulnerability of the cardiovascular system (CVS).

The aim of the study was at the cohort assessment of microelement status in large city residents classified as "apparently healthy people". The population study included 2,025 randomly selected middle-aged (2045 years) persons without chronic diseases or acute infectious pathologies. The set of subjects was standardized by age and gender.

The intensity of free-radical processes in erythrocyte membranes, malondialdehyde concentration, and aldehyde dehydrogenase activity were analyzed. The exposure to helium cold plasma led to a significant increase in malondialdehyde level mostly associated with inhibition of its utilization.

The effects of inhalation of singlet oxygen mixture, dry and humidified ozone-oxygen mixture, and ozonated oils on heart rate variability as well as on the rate and control mechanisms of microcirculation were examined in rats. The most optimal were the responses of systemic and regional hemodynamics to inhalation of the gas produced by a generator of singlet oxygen and humidified ozone-oxygen mixtures. Singlet oxygen stabilized the cardiac rhythm and augmented microcirculation via activation of "internal" (endothelial and neurogenic) regulatory mechanisms.

Blood specimens from 15 healthy people were treated by NO-containing gas flow (800 and 80 ppm) generated with the "Plazon" unit, experimental NO-generator (20, 50, 75 and 100 ppm) and by water solution of thiol-containing dinitrosyl iron complexes (3 mM/L). The influence of blood sodium on blood serum crystallization in original and NO-treated blood specimens was estimated.

The aim of this work was the investigation of nitric oxide (NO) inhalations action on some parameters of energy and oxidative metabolism of healthy rats blood. Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups: control group (without any manipulations; n = 10) and main group (n = 10) with inhalations by NO-containing gas flow (20 ppm). Activity of pro- and antioxidant systems, superoxide dismutase, lactate dehydrogenase and lactate level were estimated in rats blood samples.

The positive effect of dinitrosyl iron complexes on the state of blood pro- and antioxidant systems in animals with experimental thermal injury having profound oxidative stress is shown. This effect is observed as a considerable reduction of the intensity (normalization) of lipid peroxidation processes against significant elevation of antioxidant potential of blood plasma.
