Introduction: An ongoing outbreak of yellow fever (YF) has been reported in Brazil with 1261 confirmed cases and 409 deaths since July 2017. To date, there is no specific treatment available for YF. The largest clusters of galaxies in the Universe contain vast amounts of dark matter, plus baryonic matter in two principal phases, a majority hot gas component and a minority cold stellar phase comprising stars, compact objects, and low-temperature gas. Hydrodynamic simulations indicate that the highest-mass systems retain the cosmic fraction of baryons, a natural consequence of which is anti-correlation between the masses of hot gas and stars within dark matter halos of fixed total mass. We report observational detection of this anti-correlation based on 4 elements of a 9 × 9-element covariance matrix for nine cluster properties, measured from multi-wavelength observations of 41 clusters from the Local Cluster Substructure Survey.

It is widely accepted that drug-target association and dissociation rates directly affect drug efficacy and safety. To rationally optimize drug binding kinetics, one must know the atomic arrangement of the protein-ligand complex during the binding/unbinding process in order to detect stable and metastable states. Whereas experimental approaches can determine kinetic constants with fairly good accuracy, computational approaches based on molecular dynamics (MD) simulations can deliver the atomistic details of the unbinding process.

We report on an experimental study of the Faraday instability in a vibrated fluid layer situated over a permeable and rough substrate, consisting either of a flat solid plate or of woven meshes having different openings and wire diameters, open or closed (by a sealing paint). We measure the critical acceleration and the wavelength (on the images from top) at the onset of the instability for vibration frequencies between 28 and 42 Hz. We observe that, in comparison with the flat plate, a mesh leads to an increase of the critical acceleration, whereas the wavelength is not significantly altered in none of the explored cases.

It can result in limb amputation, pseudo-aneurysm formation, septic emboli, aorto-enteric fistulae, septic shock and death. Classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) patients with relapsed or refractory disease may benefit from allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT), but many lack a matched sibling donor (MSD). Herein, we compare outcomes of 2 reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC) HCT platforms in cHL: T cell-replete related donor haploidentical (haplo) HCT with a post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy)-based approach versus an MSD/calcineurin inhibitor (CNI)-based approach.
