Introduction: The Precision Medicine Program (PMP) at the University of Florida (UF) focuses on advancing pharmacogenomics (PGx) to improve patient care.

Methods: The UF PMP, in collaboration with the UF Health Pathology Laboratory (UFHPL), utilized Health Level Seven (HL7) standards to integrate PGx data into Epic's Genomic Module to enhance the management and utilization of PGx data in clinical practice.

Results: A key feature of the Genomic Module is the introduction of genomic indicators-innovative tools that flag actionable genetic information directly within the electronic health record (EHR).

Metaplastic breast cancer (MpBC) is a highly chemoresistant subtype of breast cancer with no standardized therapy options. A clinical study in anthracycline-refractory MpBC patients suggested that nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor NG-monomethyl-l-arginine (L-NMMA) may augment anti-tumor efficacy of taxane. We report that NOS blockade potentiated response of human MpBC cell lines and tumors to phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor alpelisib and taxane.

Angiotensin II (AngII) regulates cerebral circulation and binds with a similar affinity to AT and AT receptors. Biased AT agonists, such as TRV027, which are able to selectively activate β-arrestin while blocking the G pathway, appear promising as new therapeutics. New pharmacological tools are needed to further explore the impact of biased AT agonists on cells or tissues, such as the cerebral vessels.

However, the influence of heating on soil microbiota remains poorly understood, especially in soils from tropical regions. Though surface water quality has been monitored in southern Peru over the past and current century, it has been implemented by multiple organizations. The data lacks a centralized repository and access requires logistical and temporal hurdles associated with official requests. A substantial portion of the data has not been quality assured and is in difficult-to-access formats such as scanned PDF documents.

Introduction: Informed decisions to enrol in the clinical investigations of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) require careful consideration of complex risks and uncertain benefits. Decisions regarding whether to receive information about biomarker status are complicated by lack of scientific consensus regarding biomarkers as surrogate endpoints for Alzheimer's disease and how information about individual risk should be evaluated and shared with research participants. This study aims to establish stakeholder consensus regarding ethically optimal approaches to sharing individual results with ADRD research participants.

Hospital-acquired falls are a continuing clinical concern. The emergence of advanced analytical methods, including NLP, has created opportunities to leverage nurse-generated data, such as clinical notes, to better address the problem of falls. In this nurse-driven study, we employed an iterative process for expert manual annotation of RNs clinical notes to enable the training and testing of an NLP pipeline to extract factors related to falls.
