We present the case of a 24-year-old male patient, who was admitted for endoscopy due to sustained pain in the upper abdomen with nausea and postprandial fullness without vomiting for more than 5 months. In the physical examination, an epigastric induration was found. Endoscopy revealed an external impression of the proximal duodenum.

The increased risk of thrombosis and bleeding with an active tumor disease is known as the so-called "thrombo-hemorrhagic syndrome", which places high demands on anticoagulation. Sorafenib is a multi-kinase inhibitor with activity against several intracellular kinases which may play a role in the pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In vitro data and results from early clinical trials suggest that sorafenib might be an effective drug for the treatment of AML.
