Introduction: Traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) present a significant challenge for healthcare professionals. Nurses, often the first point of contact for patients, may lack essential knowledge in dental trauma first aid, as noted in the existing literature.
Objective: To assess the knowledge of traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) among undergraduate nursing students before and after a targeted educational intervention.
Objectives: To study the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and its possible determinant factors in Spanish children with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and their parents.
Methods: Multicenter observational cross-sectional study. The Spanish version of the Pediatric Quality of Life Eosinophilic Esophagitis Module was filled out by EoE patients aged 8-18 and their parents.
The Retriever complex recycles a wide range of transmembrane proteins from endosomes to the plasma membrane. The cargo adapter protein SNX17 has been implicated in recruiting the Retriever complex to endosomal membranes, yet the details of this interaction have remained elusive. Through biophysical and structural model-guided mutagenesis studies with recombinant proteins and liposomes, we have gained a deeper understanding of this process.

Diet plays a pivotal role in normal development, impacting both physiology and behavior. However, the specific effects of a high-fat diet (HFD) on inhibitory control have not received adequate attention.

Purpose: The purpose of this randomized clinical trial was to determine whether a direct relationship is present between the design of bleaching trays and the risk of gingival irritation during at-home bleaching treatments.
Material And Methods: This clinical trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.
Background: Nowadays, traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) have a growing prevalence and incidence worldwide, reaching their highest numbers in school-age children. The management of dental avulsion requires an important challenge for the clinicians and the prognosis depends on an immediate and an appropriate emergency action. In this regard, primary school teachers are in a privileged position to assist injured children.

The main risk factors are the same as systemic cardiovascular risk factors, but recently other significant risk factors have been studied. The aim of this study is to analyse the risk factors for retinal venous thrombosis and their relationship with the development of cancer.

Remote oceanic islands lie at the brink of complex biotic and abiotic interactions which have significantly influenced the biodiversity patterns we see today. The interaction between geological environmental change and taxon-specific dispersal modes can influence species evolutionary patterns, eventually delimiting species-specific biogeographic regions.

The Flexibility Scale is a comprehensive informant-report measure used to assess multiple aspects of flexibility in autistic and non-autistic children and youth, with an emphasis on cognitive aspects. This tool has not been adapted nor validated for use in Spain.

The key component of this system, ParB, loads and spreads along DNA to form a local protein-DNA condensate known as a partition complex. As bacterial chromosomes are heavily supercoiled due to the continuous action of RNA polymerases, topoisomerases and nucleoid-associated proteins, it is important to study the impact of DNA supercoiling on the ParB-DNA partition complex formation.

Understanding the complexities of radon distribution and the dynamic relationship with atmospheric parameters will help in mitigating its impact. In this study, Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MF-DFA) and chaos analysis were used to examine the fractal structure in radon gas at La Cueva del Viento, Tenerife, between January 2021 and December 2022.

Several factors are responsible for the failure of the endodontic success and one of the most important being the particular pulp anatomy of each tooth. To aim was determine the prevalence of the middle mesial (MM) canal in first mandibular molars and to study if there are predisposing factors to the presence of this canal by retrospectively analyzing cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images in vivo.

SIRS criteria have been related to disease severity and may be a prognostic factor. Recently, qSOFA has been shown to be more prognostically accurate than SIRS in other inflammatory conditions.

Low serum levels cause AAT deficiency (AATD), an underdiagnosed condition that predisposes to pulmonary and hepatic diseases. The SERPINA1 gene, which encodes AAT, contains >500 variants.

Identifying and understanding individuals' barriers to digital health readiness can help health systems efficiently deploy resources to provide personalized patient-centered support.
Objective: To develop and validate an instrument to evaluate digital health readiness to identify and quantify barriers to digital readiness.
Bismuth telluride, a highly efficient thermoelectric material, stands out for applications around room temperature in wearable devices. By harnessing the thermal gradient established between the human body and ambient temperature, we can generate useable electricity. Notably, bismuth telluride nanostructures exhibit significantly lower thermal conductivities compared to their bulk counterparts.

However, achieving effective PDRCs requires cost-effective, ecofriendly, and industrially scalable materials. In this study, we investigate the potential of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) nanostructures coated with metals as passive radiative coolers.

To the best of our knowledge, no revision of terpenes containing cyclic anhydrides has been previously reported. The result was that more than 100 terpenic cyclic anhydrides and related compounds were found to be in need of being reported.

Methods And Results: Female and male rats, assigned to a standard chow or a cafeteria diet-fed group, receive a daily oral dose of a grape seed proanthocyanidin extract (GSPE), or a vehicle (when light is turned on, or when light is turned off). Corticosterone, estradiol, and testosterone serum levels, and the expression analysis of clock genes and genes related to corticosterone synthesis pathway, are assessed.

Background: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the scientific evidence about the association between osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and the prevalence of apical periodontitis, assessed radiographically.
Material And Methods: PRISMA Guidelines have been followed. The research question was: In adult women, does the presence or absence of osteoporosis affect the prevalence of AP, radiographically diagnosed? A systematic search was performed in PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus and EMBASE.
The timing of DNA replication in mammals is crucial for minimizing errors and influenced by genome usage and chromatin states. Replication timing in the newly formed mammalian embryo remains poorly understood. Here, we have investigated replication timing in mouse zygotes and 2-cell embryos, revealing that zygotes lack a conventional replication timing program, which then emerges in 2-cell embryos.
