[Secondary syphilis with pulmonary involvement].

We present the case of a 62-year-old woman who consulted for fever (38°), stabbing thoracic pain (on one side), and pruritic skin lesions. She underwent peripheral blood tests, chest X-rays and CT. Her symptoms were interpreted as severe communityacquired pneumonia.

Impact of Infarct Size on Blood Pressure in Young Patients with Acute Stroke.

Background: Hypertension can be found in up to 80% of patients with acute stroke. Many factors have been related to this phenomenon such as age, history of hypertension, and stroke severity. The aim of our study was to determine the relationship between infarct volume and blood pressure, at admission, in young patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Food derived microRNAs.

Foods provide fats, carbohydrates, and proteins as well as vitamins, minerals and trace elements. These dietary factors may influence cellular processes by regulating endogenous microRNA expression. MicroRNAs are non-coding regulatory molecules which affect gene expression at the post transcriptional level.
