Hip fractures are common in patients with poor bone quality and are seen to affect the elderly and frail population. We report a case of implant failure after fixing an unstable intertrochanteric fracture with a dynamic hip screw (DHS). The patient presented with a DHS that had migrated into the pelvis approximately six months after surgery.
