Background: Dentistry has been identified as one of the most stressful occupations in which a dentist's mental and/or physical health may be affected. The objective of this study was to identify chronic psychophysiological stress symptoms in relation with the presence of high stress levels perceived in dentists at a Social Security institution in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Methods: The design was cross-sectional and analytical by means of a 2011 census consisting of 87 dentists.

Objective: Establishing an association between high chronic stress levels and variables considered to be negative regarding the stress profile for Mexican migrants living in Edmonton, Canada.
Methods: A simple random technique was used for choosing the target population; the sample size involved 58 migrants. The Nowack Stress Profile and Maslach Burnout Inventory were used to identify immigrants' stress symptoms during 2010-2011.
Dentistry is considered a stressful profession, since dentists are exposed to potential stressors during their practice. Therefore, the objective of this study was to identify chronic stress levels and their association with different risk factors among dentists working at public health institutions in Guadalajara, Mexico. The study was observational, cross-sectional and one of association.
