Study Question: Can genome-wide genotyping data be analysed using a hypothesis-driven approach to enhance the understanding of the genetic basis of severe spermatogenic failure (SPGF) in male infertility?
Summary Answer: Our findings revealed a significant association between SPGF and the gene and identified three novel genes (, , and ) along with 32 potentially pathogenic rare variants in 30 genes that contribute to this condition.
What Is Known Already: SPGF is a major cause of male infertility, often with an unknown aetiology. SPGF can be due to either multifactorial causes, including both common genetic variants in multiple genes and environmental factors, or highly damaging rare variants.

Design: Nasopharyngeal PCR was performed on 1943 sperm donors between January 2021 and March 2022. The result was positive for 140 donations, and the presence of SARS-CoV-2 could be studied in cryopreserved semen from 84 of these donors. This included 67 participants in whom the quality of fresh semen could be compared with the previous donation, the day of the PCR-positive nasopharyngeal sampling and the first subsequent donation.

Objectives: To analyze the outcomes and complication rates of fibular allografts (FA) as an augmentation technique for proximal humeral fractures and determine their appropriate indications.
Data Sources: English- and Spanish-language articles in PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science (Core Collection), and Google Scholar databases were systematically reviewed with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews guidelines on April 10, 2020.
Study Selection: Studies of patients with proximal humeral fractures treated primarily with FA and locking compression plates and with a minimum follow-up of 6 months were included, and presenting results with standardized clinical scales, radiological values, and operative complications.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the measures adopted for its control have had a significant impact, both in and at health, social and personal levels. The Spanish Observatory of Drugs and Addictions designed a survey to study the change in the pattern of consumption of psychoactive substances and other behaviors with addictive potential, such as the use of the Internet and gambling with money, in the Spanish population during the pandemic COVID-19. A random sample of 7,886 people aged 15 to 64 was interviewed by a telephone survey.

Design: Descriptive observational study.
Setting: Private center.
Background: Spain is one of the European countries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Serological surveys are a valuable tool to assess the extent of the epidemic, given the existence of asymptomatic cases and little access to diagnostic tests. This nationwide population-based study aims to estimate the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Spain at national and regional level.

In each case, covalent stabilization of the worm cores was achieved via reaction of the epoxide groups on the GlyMA repeat units with 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane. Aqueous electrophoresis studies indicated a pH-independent mean zeta potential of +40 mV and -39 mV for the cationic and anionic copolymer worms, respectively.

Background: Frequency of administration (once daily versus more than once daily) is believed to be an important consideration affecting drug choice.
Objective: The aim of this study was to describe the characteristics of patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) and the extent to which they take chronic medications, other than anticoagulants, more frequently than once daily.
Methods: Using data from a large, national database of health insurance claims, patients with a diagnosis of NVAF between 1 July 2008 and 30 September 2011 were identified, along with their prescription medications, to determine the proportion of patients taking chronic medications more than once a day.
Genitourinary tuberculosis was diagnosed in 543 patients in Spanish hospital from 1978 through 2003. Of the 371 male 34 (9.2%) had orchiepididymitis.

Aim: To determine the relationship between gestational diabetes (GD) and the development of MS at the end of puerperal period.
Patients And Methods: We conducted a case-control study in the Curanilahue Hospital, in southern Chile, including 58 women with GD during their pregnancy, studied in day 42 of their puerperal period (study group) and 58 puerperal women from the same hospital, who had a physiological pregnancy (control group).
There is limited data on immunity against varicella-zoster virus (VZV) in adults in different parts of Argentina, and it is not known which VZV strains are circulating in Argentina. The objectives of this study were as follows: (i) to evaluate seroprevalence of varicella among adults, assessing the accuracy of clinical history and determining the sociodemographic factors associated with seropositivity; and (ii) to determine the VZV strains circulating in Argentina. A cross-sectional serological survey enrolling 2,807 women aged 15 to 49 years attending public health-care settings in four cities in Argentina (i.
