In 2019, the biggest listeriosis outbreak by (Lm) in the South of Spain was reported, resulting in the death of three patients from 207 confirmed cases. One strain, belonging to clonal complex 388 (Lm CC388), has been isolated. The secondary objective of the study was to evaluate differences between clinical observation and urodynamics in both groups of women.
Methods: A retrospective study of women with IOE derivatives for UDS prior to surgical treatment is performed.
Aims: To describe the voiding pattern (VP) of women with urinary incontinence but without voiding symptoms and compare their clinical and urodynamic features between those voiding with and without a measurable detrusor contraction (DET-cont).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of a prospectively built database of female urodynamic studies (UDS). Women with voiding symptoms and having medical history of different factors that could alter the lower urinary tract function were excluded.

Objective: The aim of the study was to compare the efficacy and safety of the tissue anchoring system (TAS) kit versus the traditional technique for sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) to treat apical vaginal wall prolapse.
Methods: A prospective randomized controlled multicenter study of noninferiority involving women with apical prolapse (C-point≥+1). Primary outcome is surgical success as C-point≤-4 at the 1-year follow-up.
Objective: The aim of this study was to perform a score predictive of ALPP <60 cm H2O from clinical factors in women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI).
Study Design: We performed a descriptive and observational study of women referred for a urodynamic study for stress urinary incontinence. Patients were divided into three groups: ALPP: >90 cm H2O, between 60 and 90 cm H2O and <60 cm H2O.
Objectives: To evaluate if there is a correlation between the abdominal leak pressure point (ALPP) of the urodynamic study and several tools to evaluate severity and quality of life associated to stress urine incontinence (SUI).
Methods: Prospective correlation study of women referred to urodynamic study for stress urinary incontinence in Centro Urológico Profesor Bengió between September 2014 and October 2015. Anamnesis, physical examination (where the SUI was demonstrated), ICIQSF urine incontinence questionnaire and incontinence impact questionnaire (IIQ-7) were performed to every patient.

Purpose: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a surgical polypropylene mesh for correction of anterior vaginal prolapse, with or without apical defects, by providing simultaneous reinforcement at the anterior and apical aspects of the vagina with a single-incision approach.
Methods: This was a prospective, multicenter, single-arm study involving women with baseline stage ≥2 anterior and/or apical vaginal wall prolapse according to the Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification (POP-Q) system. The primary endpoint was defined as achievement of POP-Q stage ≤1 status.
Introduction: Various authors argued that the voiding urgency component in mixed urinary incontinence (MUI) is different than urge urinary incontinence (UUI). In this last case they suggest that incontinence in MUI could be overdiagnosed in patients with SUI, misunderstanding the leak as UUI.
Objetives: To evaluate clinical and urodynamic characteristics of patients with MUI and pure UUI.
Purpose: To create a predictive model of involuntary detrusor contraction (IDC) to improve the diagnostic accuracy of overactive detrusor (OAD), associating overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms with other clinical parameters in the female population.
Materials And Methods: A total of 727 women were studied retrospectively. In all of them, urodynamic study was conducted for urogynecological causes.
The ability of CD8 T lymphocytes to eliminate tumors is limited by their ability to engender an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Here we describe a subset of tumor-infiltrating CD8 T cells marked by high expression of the immunosuppressive ATP ecto-nucleotidase CD39. The frequency of CD39CD8 T cells increased with tumor growth but was absent in lymphoid organs.

Measuring mtDNAcn in DNA extracted from whole blood (WB) instead of from peripheral blood mononuclear cells or buffy coat may yield different results due to mitochondrial DNA present in platelets. The aim of this work is to quantify the contribution of platelets to mtDNAcn in whole blood [mtDNAcn(WB)] and to propose a correction formula to estimate leukocytes' mtDNAcn [mtDNAcn(L)] from mtDNAcn(WB).

The APOE*4 allele is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and could contribute to the development of the metabolic syndrome (MetS) as it may affect all MetS components. APOE plays an important role controlling plasma lipids but its association with adipocyte functionality and body fatness remains to be determined.
Methods: We analyzed fasting plasma lipids and genotyped the two main APOE-SNPs (rs429358 and rs7412), both located in the fourth exon of the APOE, in 4660 Caucasian middle-aged men free of cardiovascular disease.

Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out in a sample of 929 volunteers belonging to the Aragon Workers' Health Study cohort. Sociodemographic, anthropometric, pharmacological and laboratory data were collected: lipids-total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, apolipoproteins A-1 and B-100, lipoprotein (a)-, insulin resistance-glucose, glycated hemoglobin, homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance, insulin, and triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio-, and inflammatory profile-C-reactive protein and leukocytes.
