Novel evidence of microglial immune response in impairment of Dengue infection of CNS.

Dengue, the most rampant zoonotic viral disease in tropics, contributes to 14% of acute febrile illness cases globally. Encephalitis in primary Dengue fever, with/without haemorrhage has been reported occasionally. Our study presents novel evidence for this rarity at the molecular level.

Enantioselective synthesis of (10)- and (10)-methyl-anandamides.

For the development of novel endocannabinoid templates with potential resistance to hydrolytic and oxidative metabolism, we are targeting the bis-allylic carbons of the arachidonoyl skeleton. Toward this end, we recently disclosed the synthesis and preliminary biological data for the (13)-methyl-anandamide. We report now the total synthesis of the (10)- and (10)-methyl-counterparts.
