Methods: A retrospective cohort study pertaining to adults aged 70+ years who presented to Queensland public hospital EDs across three separate time periods; 11 March to 30 June 2018 and 2019 (pre-pandemic average), 2020 (COVID-19 state-wide lockdown) and 2021 (post-state-wide lockdown). The primary outcome was change in presentation rates to ED.
Synthesis of Kr@C is achieved by quantitative high-pressure encapsulation of the noble gas into an open-fullerene, and subsequent cage closure. Krypton is the largest noble gas entrapped in C using 'molecular surgery' and Kr@C is prepared with >99.4% incorporation of the endohedral atom, in 4% yield from C.

Studies suggest some psychiatric disorders are associated with differences in discounting compared with controls, but null findings have also been reported.
Objective: To conduct a meta-analysis of the published literature on delay discounting in people with psychiatric disorders.
Background: The rapid screening of older adults in the Emergency Department (ED) at risk of adverse events is considered useful. The aim of this study was to evaluate the predictive validity of the interRAI ED screener for re-presentation to the ED within 28 days.

Methods: CEDRiC is designed to improve the health outcomes for older people with an acute illness. It attempts this via enhanced primary care in residential aged care facilities, focused and streamlined care in the emergency department and enhanced intersectoral communication and referral.
Background: The use of functional and/or cognitive assessment in the emergency department (ED) to inform decision making in the complex older adult is considered important, yet not routinely administered.
Method: Electronic databases were searched to identify eligible published research studies: older adults >65 years; the administration of a functional and/or cognition assessment instrument whilst the older adult is in any part of the ED; interventions resulting from the administration of the instrument; and a measured outcome post ED visit. A revised scoping review methodology was applied to chart study data and to identify key differences.
A series of new group 2 coordination polymers, ={MgL(HO)(DMF)}, = {CaL(DMF)}, = {SrL(HO)} and = {BaL(HO)}, were synthesized using a flexible benzimidazolone diacetic acid linker () in which the two carboxylic acid binding sites are connected to a planar core via {-CH-} spacers that can freely rotate in solution. In a 'curiosity-led' diversion from group 2 metals, the first row transition metal salts Mn, Cu and Zn were also reacted with to yield crystals of {MnL(DMF)(HO)}, = {CuL(DMF)(CHO)} and = {ZnL(DMF)}.
