Background: Daratumumab-refractory multiple myeloma (Dara-R MM) presents a significant treatment challenge. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and survival outcomes of elotuzumab, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone (EloPd) in a large, real-world cohort of patients with Dara-R MM, with particular focus on progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).
Materials And Methods: This retrospective analysis included 247 Dara-R MM patients treated with EloPd.
During the first two waves of the COVID-19 emergency in Italy, internal medicine high-dependency wards (HDW) have been organized to manage patients with acute respiratory failure (ARF). There is heterogeneous evidence about the feasibility and outcomes of non-invasive respiratory supports (NIRS) in settings outside the intensive care unit (ICU), including in patients deemed not eligible for intubation (i.e.

However, Tixagevimab/Cilgavimab was tested in a few studies that included patients with hematological malignancies, even if this population has shown an increased risk of unfavorable outcomes following infection (with high rates of hospitalization, intensive care unit admission, and mortality) and poor significant immunization following vaccines. We performed a real-life prospective cohort study to evaluate the rate of SARS-CoV-2 infection following pre-exposure prophylaxis with Tixagevimab/Cilgavimab in anti-spike seronegative patients compared to a cohort of seropositive patients who were observed or received a fourth vaccine dose.

Background: The latissimus dorsi (LD) flap is largely used in breast reconstruction. The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the advantage of the LD flap in association with an implant to that of LD flap in association with lipofilling to add additional volume following breast reconstruction by assessing the number of revision procedures, length of hospitalization, complication rate, and patient satisfaction.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed to evaluate complication rate, number and type of revision procedures required, hospitalization time, and overall duration of the reconstructive process in patients undergoing LD breast reconstruction in our department between January 2012 and March 2015.
