Background: Fertility preservation is an important healthcare focus in the paediatric and adolescent population when gonadotoxic treatments are required. Ovarian stimulation (OS) resulting in oocyte cryopreservation is a well-established fertility preservation option in the adult population. It's utility, however, is little known in young patients.

Unlabelled: STUDY OBJECTIVE: To estimate the incidence of leiomyosarcoma; other uterine pathologies; and the frequency of use of morcellation, both mechanical and manual in laparoscopic, vaginal, and laparotomy operative routes in women undergoing hysterectomy or myomectomy for benign gynecologic indications when myomas were present.

Design: A retrospective study (Canadian Task Force classification II-3).

Are we there yet? Travel vaccinations for Australian children.

Background: Australians travel overseas frequently and general practitioners (GPs) are often asked to provide detailed advice on travel vaccinations for children. Planning a safe and effective vaccination schedule is dependent on the context: where and when the family is travelling, the individual child's medical needs and past vaccination history, and if they are visiting family and friends.

Objective: In this paper we provide an overview of the issues to consider when vaccinating Australian children for overseas travel.
