[Use of Travelbee's interpersonal relation process with mothers of newborns in a neonatal unit].

The objective of this study is to evaluate the interpersonal relation process with mothers of newborns in a neonatal unit using Joyce Travelbee's Interpersonal Relation Theory. It is a descriptive case study carried out in a neonatal internal unit in December of 2003 and January of 2004. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with person-to-person interaction.
