Endothelial dysfunction is an essential intermediary for development of cardiovascular diseases associated with diabetes and hypertension (HT). The carotid body (CB) dysfunction contributes to dysmetabolic states, and the resection of carotid sinus nerve (CSN) prevents and reverts dysmetabolism and HT.
