Generating specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that neutralize multiple antigen variants is challenging. Here, we present a strategy to generate mAbs that bind seven subtypes of botulinum neurotoxin serotype F (BoNT/F) that differ from each other in amino acid sequence by up to 36%. Previously, we identified 28H4, a mouse mAb with poor cross-reactivity to BoNT/F1, F3, F4, and F6 and with no detectable binding to BoNT/F2, F5, or F7.

The Expert Panel for Cosmetic Ingredient Safety (Panel) re-reviewed the safety of Malic Acid and Sodium Malate in cosmetics. Malic Acid is reported to function in cosmetics as a fragrance ingredient and a pH adjuster and Sodium Malate functions as a skin-conditioning agent - humectant. The Panel reviewed the available data to determine the safety of these ingredients.

Introduction: Poison ivy (toxicodendron) dermatitis (TD) resulting from contact with poison ivy, oak, or sumac is a common form of allergic contact dermatitis that impacts millions of people in the United State every year and results in an estimated 43,000 emergency department (ED) visits annually. Introduction: Despite widespread usage, research on the relationship of marijuana use to disease is sorely lacking. We sought to test the relationship of LUTS/BPH treatment and endocannabinoid agonist usage, as well as alcohol usage and depression, with treatment for LUTS/BPH in our health system.

Phosphate homeostasis is dependent on the interaction and coordination of four main organ systems: thyroid/parathyroids, gastrointestinal tract, bone and kidneys, and three key hormonal regulators, 1,25-hydroxyvitamin D3, parathyroid hormone and FGF23 with its co- factor klotho. Phosphorus is a critical nutritional element for normal cellular function, but in excess can be toxic to tissues, particularly the vasculature. As phosphate, it also has an important interaction and inter-dependence with calcium and calcium homeostasis sharing some of the same controlling hormones, although this is not covered in our article.

Unravelling the generation of complex organic molecules (COMs) on interstellar nanoparticles (grains) is essential in establishing predictive astrochemical reaction networks and recognizing evolution stages of molecular clouds and star-forming regions. The formation of COMs has been associated with the irradiation of interstellar ices by ultraviolet photons and galactic cosmic rays. Herein, we pioneer the first incorporation of (SVUV-PI-ReTOF-MS) in laboratory astrophysics simulation experiments to afford an isomer-selective identification of key COMs (ketene (HC═CO); acetaldehyde (CHCHO); vinyl alcohol (HC═CHOH)) based on photoionization efficiency (PIE) curves of molecules desorbing from exposed carbon monoxide-methane (CO-CH) ices.

The UV photolysis of solid FOX-7 at 5 K with 355 and 532 nm photons was investigated to unravel initial isomerization and decomposition pathways. Isomer-selective single photon ionization coupled with reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ReTOF-MS) documented the nitric oxide (NO) loss channel at 355 nm along with a nitro-to-nitrite isomerization, which was observed by using infrared spectroscopy, representing the initial reaction pathway followed by O─NO bond rupture of the nitrite moiety. A residual gas analyzer detected molecular oxygen for the 355 and 532 nm photolysis at a ratio of 4.

The first full angular analysis and an updated measurement of the decay-rate CP asymmetry of the D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} and D^{0}→K^{+}K^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} decays are reported. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}.

For more than half a century, pericyclic reactions have played an important role in advancing our fundamental understanding of cycloadditions, sigmatropic shifts, group transfer reactions, and electrocyclization reactions. However, the fundamental mechanisms of photochemically activated cheletropic reactions have remained contentious. Here we report on the simplest cheletropic reaction: the [2+1] addition of ground state O-carbon monoxide (CO, XΣ) to D2-acetylene (CD) photochemically excited to the first excited triplet (T1), second excited triplet (T2), and first excited singlet state (S1) at 5 K, leading to the formation of D2-O-cyclopropenone (c-CDO).

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is the most common form of preinvasive breast cancer and, despite treatment, a small fraction (5-10%) of DCIS patients develop subsequent invasive disease. A fundamental biologic question is whether the invasive disease arises from tumor cells in the initial DCIS or represents new unrelated disease. To address this question, we performed genomic analyses on the initial DCIS lesion and paired invasive recurrent tumors in 95 patients together with single-cell DNA sequencing in a subset of cases.

The first observation of the semileptonic b-baryon decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ}, with a significance of 6.1σ, is reported using a data sample corresponding to 3  fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity, collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at the LHC. The τ^{-} lepton is reconstructed in the hadronic decay to three charged pions.

Tests of lepton universality in B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} decays where ℓ is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}e^{+}e^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}e^{+}e^{-} decays are measured in intervals of the dilepton invariant mass squared. The measurements are performed using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1} .
