Background: The optimal medical management to delay the progression of aortic aneurysms has not been fully clarified, and the only standard treatment at present is antihypertensive therapy. Previous studies have shown beneficial effects of selective mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonists on cardiovascular remodeling.
