Purpose: Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor-specific angiogenesis in some cancers. MYL-1402O is a proposed bevacizumab biosimilar.

Purpose: Pegfilgrastim is a long-acting granulocyte colony-stimulating factor indicated for prevention of febrile neutropenia in patients receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy by promoting neutrophil recovery.

Methods: This phase 1, randomized, double-blind, three-way crossover trial in healthy volunteers evaluated the pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), safety, and tolerability of the proposed biosimilar, comparing MYL-1401H, reference pegfilgrastim (Neulasta, Amgen Inc, Thousand Oaks, CA, USA) sourced from the European Union, and reference pegfilgrastim sourced from the USA. Primary PK end points were peak plasma concentration of pegfilgrastim (C) and area under the plasma concentration-time curve from the time of dosing to infinity (AUC).

Progesterone is an endogenous immunomodulator that suppresses T cell activation during pregnancy. Progesterone has been shown to induce rapid responses that cause intracellular calcium ([Ca(2+)]i) elevation and acidification followed by inhibition of phytohemagglutinin (PHA)-stimulated proliferation. These rapid responses involve T cell plasma membrane sites, but the mechanisms remain unclear.

A total of 39 microbes were screened for the ability to selectively N-demethylate (3R,5S,E)-7-(4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2-(methyl(1-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)aminopyrimidin-5-yl)-3,5-dihydroxy-hept-6-enoic acid (I), a potential drug for lowering blood cholesterol levels.
