Introduction: Major salivary gland ultrasonography (SGUS) demonstrated its good metric properties as an outcome measure for diagnosing primary Sjögren's disease (SD). The objective was to assess SGUS reliability among sonographers with different levels of experience, using web training.
Methods: Sonographers from expert centers participated in the reliability exercise.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a prototypical autoimmune disease that causes joint inflammation and destruction. There is currently no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, and the effectiveness of treatments varies across patients, suggesting an undefined pathogenic diversity. Here, to deconstruct the cell states and pathways that characterize this pathogenic heterogeneity, we profiled the full spectrum of cells in inflamed synovium from patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

In particular, the predictive utility of US-defined tenosynovitis of larger tendons is yet to be reported. We assessed the value of US-defined tenosynovitis alongside US-defined synovitis and clinical and serological variables in predicting persistent arthritis in an inception cohort of DMARD-naïve patients with early arthritis.

This heterogeneity hampers the progress of research in this rapidly expanding field. In that context, under the umbrella of European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology, we aimed at proposing points to consider (PtC) for minimal reporting requirements in synovial tissue research.

Design: Systematic review with best evidence synthesis.
Data Sources: The Cochrane, PubMed, CINAHL Plus, PEDro and EMBASE electronic databases were searched (inception until 8 June 2017).
Manual palpation (MP) is commonly used for the assessment of patients with neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. During assessment of lumbo-pelvic disorders in particular, it may be used not only to explore pain and resistance in the region, but also to evaluate the symmetry and movement quality of the area. Whilst reliability of MP has been extensively investigated, its validity remains relatively under researched.
