In this study, a NdO@MIL(Fe)-88A composite was prepared through a hydrothermal method and used to detect dichlorvos. The XRD result demonstrated that the prepared sensor is highly crystalline in nature. The affinity of metal oxide and MIL(Fe)-88A could be utilised to overcome low stability and sensitivity owing to their synergistic and electronic effects.

The illegal addition of melamine to dairy products and the contamination of water with mercury (Hg) are serious threats to human health. Hence, herein, a highly sensitive colorimetric sensor for the visual detection of melamine and Hg ions has been developed using a metal-oxide-in-MOF nanomaterial (CeO-MIL (Fe)) as a peroxidase mimic. Highly mono-dispersed CeO-MIL (Fe) was synthesised a facile hydrothermal process.

The catalyst-free 1,6-conjugate addition of indoles and 4-hydroxycoumarins to para-quinone methides is reported. This protocol allowed us to access a range of unsymmetrical triarylmethanes in good to excellent yields. The outlined procedure is operationally simple, efficient, atom and step economical.
