In modern industries, pipelines play a crucial role, both as an essential element in energy transportation (water, gas and electricity) and also in the distribution of these resources. The large size of piping infrastructures, their age and unpredictable external factors are the main difficulties in monitoring the piping system. In this context, the detection and the localization of leaks are challenging but essential, as leaks lead to substantial economic losses.
