Unlabelled: The Dutch guideline for patients suspected of head and neck paragangliomas (HNPGLs) recommends magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or computed tomography (CT) of the head and neck area. Additionally, it suggests considering additional nuclear imaging. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of [Ga]Ga-DOTATOC PET/CT compared to MRI in patients with suspected HNPGLs and carriers of genetic variations.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground And Objectives: Blood-based biomarkers and advanced neuroimaging modalities such as magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) or diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) have enhanced our understanding of the pathophysiology of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). However, there is limited published data on how blood biomarkers relate to neuroimaging biomarkers post-mTBI.
Methods: To investigate this, 30 patients with mTBI and 21 healthy controls were enrolled.
Research has shown that maladaptive personality characteristics, such as Neuroticism, are associated with poor outcome after mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). The current exploratory study investigated the neural underpinnings of this process using dynamic functional network connectivity (dFNC) analyses of resting-state (rs) fMRI, and diffusion MRI (dMRI). Methods: Retrospective, multi-reader, bicentric visual grading analysis study on breast density (A-D) and overall image and fat suppression quality of DWI and DCE-T1, scored on a standard 5-point Likert scale. Cross tabulations and visual grading characteristic (VGC) curves were calculated for fatty breasts (A/B) versus dense breasts (C/D).
We investigated whether presence and characteristics of lung nodules in the general population using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) varied by season. Imaging in Lifelines (ImaLife) study participants who underwent chest LDCT-scanning between October 2018 and October 2019 were included in this sub-study. Hay fever season (summer) was defined as 1st April to 30th September and Influenza season (winter) as 1st October to 31st March.
