Objective: Evaluate the relationship between women's empowerment and the use of modern contraceptive methods.

Study Design: A secondary analysis was conducted using the 2022 Demographic and Health Survey of Peru, selecting women who were married, ever married, or cohabiting with a partner. The survey-based Women's Empowerment Index was employed to assess empowerment, and the dependent variable was the use of modern contraceptives at the time of the interview.

Objective: To determine the prevalence and factors associated with depressive, anxious, and stress symptoms in medical students in Peru, during the second pandemic wave of COVID-19.

Methods: We conducted an analytical cross-sectional study in 405 medical students from a university in northern Peru. The DASS-21 instrument was used to evaluate mental health outcomes (depression, anxiety, and stress), and to investigate their association with socio-educational characteristics.

We aimed to determine the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress in university students in Paraguay during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 293 students from four universities in Paraguay in 2021. The DASS-21 mental health scale was used to measure the outcomes (depression, anxiety, and stress) and evaluate their association with socio-educational variables.
