Background: Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) are recommended in patients with low ejection fraction. However, the survival benefit of ICDs in patients with end-stage heart failure listed for heart transplantation is unclear.

Aim: To evaluate the ICD benefit on mortality in this population.
