In recent years, the cross-border exchange between European member states regarding the use of health data has become increasingly relevant. In order to jointly counteract the current heterogeneity and health-related challenges as well as to successively implement the vision of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) in compliance with high data protection standards, different projects with the participation of the Health Data Lab at the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Health Data Hub have been initiated. This close German-French cooperation on the one hand creates synergies and examines challenges and possible solutions on a European level.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFHealth care workers (HCW) are at high risk of Ebola virus disease (EVD) infection during epidemics and may contribute to onward transmission, and therefore HCW-targeted prophylactic vaccination strategies are being considered as interventions. To assess the feasibility of preventive HCW vaccination, we conducted a pilot survey on staff turnover and vaccine acceptance amongst 305 HCW in Freetown and Kambia districts of Sierra Leone. Multivariable logistic regression demonstrated which demographic and behavioural factors were associated with acceptance of a hypothetical new vaccine.

Objective: To investigate associations between residential air pollution, traffic, greenness, and hypertension among mothers.
Methods: Information on doctor-diagnosed maternal hypertension was collected at the 15-year follow-up of two large population-based multicenter German birth cohorts-GINIplus and LISAplus (n=3063).
