Thermal deposition of laser energy in the vaginal epithelium in genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) results in clinical and biological effects, but many cellular and molecular changes indicating cell proliferation or senescence inhibition are unknown. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the fractional-pixel-CO laser in the possible improvement of GMS signs and symptoms that can be correlated with histological changes or with cellular or molecular indicators of restoration. Background: It is shown that despite exponential increase in the number of clinically exciting results in low level light therapy (LLLT), scientific progress in the field is retarded by a wrong fundamental model employed to explain the photon-cell interaction as well as by an inadequate terminology. Methods: Sixteen women, aged 30 to 60 years old, were selected to undergo three consecutive treatment sessions with this new laser at maximum energy (2,400 mJ/pulse, Clear Lift laser®-Harmony XL-Pro, Alma Lasers Ltd.).

Methods: A prospective study in a heterogeneous group of 56 patients who had hair removed from various areas of their bodies using three different treatment methods.
Background: Photothermolysis of unwanted hair depends on the presence of melanin in the hair follicle as the chromophore, but is not effective in patients with non-pigmented, melanin-sparse hair shafts and follicles. This split-scalp, double-blind study was to monitor the efficacy of melanin bound in nanosomes to inject exogenous melanin into the hair follicles thus potentiating successful photothermolysis.
Material And Methods: Twelve patients, phototypes II-III, with white or very fair hair, were treated with a compound containing melanin encapsulated in nanosomes (Melaser) together with a fluorescent marker.
Background: Upper arm deformities secondary to weight loss or senile elastosis have led to an increased demand for aesthetic contouring procedures.
Objective: To objectively assess whether, in Teimourian high-grade upper arm remodelling, laser-assisted lypolysis (LAL) alone could result in patient satisfaction.
Methods: Between 2012 and 2013, 22 patients were treated for excessive upper arm fat (Teimourian grade III and IV) solely with LAL.

Recently, low level light therapy with light-emitting diodes (LED-LLLT) at 830 nm has attracted attention in wound healing indications for its anti-inflammatory effects and control of erythema, edema and bruising.
Rationale: The wavelength of 830 nm offers deep penetration into living biological tissue, including bone.
Skin surface temperature has been proposed as an in vivo clinical biomarker for monitoring the detrimental effect of biostimulatory laser applications. In some cases, such as wound healing and cosmetic applications, the target of the irradiation is the skin surface. In other cases, the light has to reach deeper tissues, for instance, during the irradiation of internal body organs.

Background And Objective: To determine the efficacy and safety of a new method for treating acne scarring over a short-term period of 2 months and a long-term period of 6 months.
Materials And Methods: Six faces and 13 shoulders or backs for a total of 19 patients were treated, all of which displayed varying degrees of acne scarring, from moderate to severe. A newly developed high-power unipolar fractional ablative radiofrequency technology was used (iPixel™ RF, Alma Lasers, Caesarea, Israel), with acoustic pressure ultrasound guided dermal injection of the PixelTreat Scars preparation (Alma Lasers), through RF Pixel fractionated microchannels.
Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of a new method of clearing varicose veins in the long term. It consists of applying the long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser following the injection of polidocanol microfoam, in two consecutive sessions, treating both legs in full in each session.
Method: Randomized, Polidocanol-controlled, blind evaluation clinical trial comparing the results between 79 legs treated with Polidocanol and 517 treated with Polidocanol + Laser.
