Unlabelled: The SCOTS version of the Developmental Defects of Enamel Index was designed for use in field settings as an add-on to caries prevalence examinations in order to monitor prevalence of enamel defects.
Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of developmental dental anomalies (DDE) using the SCOTS index and to statistically analyze the distribution of these anomalies.
Material And Methods: The study included 240 children aged 7-10 years old, from lasi, Romania.

The aim of the study was the determination of the correlation between the morphostructural aspects of the enamel defects and the clinical diagnostic and the nosologic kinds of these diseases. The research was made on 600 children from Iassy between 7-11 years old, who were examined in natural light. The index used for the systematization of the data was EDS.
